How does Iversun 12mg work?
Ivermectin, a semi-synthetic derivative from a group of avermectins, has anti-parasitic activities against most nematode parasites. It also has anti-parasitic properties against filariasis and scabies. The drug is absorbed into the intestinal tract and acts on the diplomatic channels of parasites. This causes chloride ion infusion.
This causes hyperpolarization and paralysis of the muscles. This drug binds to the parasite and attacks the neuromuscular system. It paralyzes and then kills the parasite. The drug may also prevent the production of larvae by adult parasites, thus preventing parasitic infection.
